应用

羟乙基淀粉已用于研究其剪切响应性。还已用作精子分离、培养和冻存培养基中的高分子组分。

生化/生理作用

羟乙基淀粉(HES)是一种胶体，用于输液相关治疗。可作为血浆代用品。对重症败血症患者施用羟乙基淀粉会增加急性肾损伤风险。

    Solubility in water has been reported as less than 20 mg/mL.  A 100 mg/mL preparation in water forms an opalescent suspension.

    No.  Hetastarch is more highly ethoxylated and partially hydrolyzed, making it much more soluble in water.  6% solutions of hetastarch in water or buffer are used as plasma volume extenders.
