应用

单唾液酸神经节苷脂GM2(来源于牛大脑)可用于:
  • 在狗背根神经节(DRG)中研究添加GM2和去除所有细胞神经节苷脂对于神经突生长和神经元存活的影响
  • 作为高效薄层色谱法(HPTLC)参考标准品,并作为酶联免疫吸附试验(ELISA)抗原,分析人前列腺癌(CaP)细胞的神经节苷脂signatures

生化/生理作用

神经节苷脂GM2(GM2)是细胞膜的重要组分,对于细胞信号传导和代谢十分重要。多项研究表明,神经节苷脂参与癌症过程、呼肠孤病毒血清型1感染及胰岛素分泌和调节。在肿瘤细胞中,GM2参与细胞粘附、迁移和增殖,发挥保护作用。GM2表达下降代表严重的恶性肿瘤。GM2是呼肠孤病毒T1L(type 1 Lang)株的受体。神经系统相关的多种疾病中均发现GM2调节异常。
