应用

来自兔肝的葡萄糖-6-磷酸酶已被用于粗制桔梗叶提取物以及阿托维德多杀菌素的甲醇性叶和树皮提取物中的葡萄糖6-磷酸酶抑制剂检测。
葡萄糖-6-磷酸酶已被用于研究黄皮属茴香(野钩叶)提取物对某些糖尿病相关代谢酶的影响。

生化/生理作用

葡萄糖-6-磷酸酶可催化葡萄糖-6-磷酸转化为葡萄糖,作为糖异生的最终步骤。
葡萄糖-6-磷酸酶对于在饥饿期间调节葡萄糖的稳态至关重要。葡萄糖-6-磷酸酶的缺乏与糖原贮积病I型(GSDI)有关。

其他说明

据报道,葡萄糖-6-磷酸酶、无机焦磷酸酶和焦磷酸葡萄糖磷酸转移酶与可催化三种不同反应的单一蛋白相关:
a) 葡萄糖6-磷酸 + H2O → 葡萄糖 + Pi
b) PPi + H2O → 2 Pi
c) 葡萄糖 + PPi或核苷酸-DP 或 -TP → 葡萄糖6-磷酸 + Pi或核苷酸-MP。
