应用
β-半乳糖苷酶可与特异性识别靶分子的抗体偶联(酶免疫测定或EISA)。β-半乳糖苷酶也可用作报告酶以监测启动子的基因表达水平。它可以用作具有抗β-半乳糖苷酶抗体的阳性对照蛋白。
生化/生理作用
β-半乳糖苷酶可将乳糖切割成单糖成分(葡萄糖和半乳糖)。它还在反馈环中催化葡萄糖转糖基化为β-半乳糖苷酶的诱导物 - 异乳糖。
