Application
EPHB1 (591-end), active, GST tagged from mouse has been used for in vitro phosphorylation of Caskin1.
Biochem/physiol Actions
EPHB1 (Ephb1 Eph receptor B1) is a member of the Eph family of receptor tyrosine kinases. Ligand-activated EPHB1 forms a signaling complex with Nck, paxillin, and focal adhesion kinase and induces tyrosine phosphorylation of paxillin in a c-Src-dependent manner to promote cell migration. In addition, activated EPHB1 recruits the adaptor proteins Grb2 and p52Shc and promotes p52Shc and c-Src tyrosine phosphorylation as well as MAPK/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) activation. Expression of dominant-negative c-Src significantly reduced EPHB1-dependent ERK1/2 activation and chemotaxis. This receptor is essential for the maintenance of hyperalgesia, and is the predominant receptor for chronic pain in the spinal cord.
General description
EPHB1 (Ephb1 Eph receptor B1) is a glutamatergic synapse forming tyrosine kinase. Mammals contain five EPHB receptors, namely, EPHB1-EPHB4 and EPHB6. Their ligands are transmembrane in nature and are called ephrinB1, -B2 and -B3.

Interactions between Eph receptors and their membrane-bound ligands (ephrins) are of critical importance for key developmental processes such as boundary formation or vascular development. Their downstream signaling pathways are intricate and heterogeneous at several levels, the combined effect being a

Eph receptors and their ligands (ephrins) play an important role in axonal guidance, topographic mapping, and angiogenesis. The signaling pathways mediating these activities are starting to emerge and are highly cell- and receptor-type specific. Here we demonstrate that activated EphB1
