生化/生理作用
薯蓣皂苷元能诱导结肠癌细胞凋亡以及诱导骨肉瘤细胞的凋亡、细胞周期停滞和环加氧酶活性。它是类固醇药物生产的前体。薯蓣皂苷元已被证明能够通过刺激胆汁排泄来促进胆固醇生成。它能够影响脂氧合酶诱导的人红白血病细胞系分化。
