应用
(（±）-儿茶素水合物已被用于：
- 研究其对人卵巢癌细胞耐药性的调节作用
- 建立总类黄酮含量的标准曲线
- 研究其对番茄生理参数的影响
生化/生理作用
儿茶素具有植物毒性。外消旋儿茶素可用于种子发芽和植物入侵性研究。儿茶素和表没食子儿茶素没食子酸酯（EGCG）可以与其他多酚类黄酮一起使用，用于研究其在氧化和过氧化相关过程中的作用。
