Bone Marrow Medium Plus

Complete frozen medium optimized for the primary culture of bone marrow cells used in cytogenetic diagnostic procedures.

Studies using a number of bone marrow specimens representing a wide variety of hematological disorders have shown that employing the transfer solution (B6426) and culture medium (B6301) in combination results in reduced failure rates, increased mitotic indices, and improved morphology versus the use of culture medium alone. The quality of metaphases and improved chromosome morphology facilitates case completion. Because the best serum lots are utilized for production, fluctuation in product quality during manufacturing is minimized.
