应用

S-(5′-腺苷)-L-甲硫氨酸-对甲苯磺酸盐已用于细胞增殖检测。它也用于甲基化检测。

生化/生理作用

甲基供体;酶催化甲基化的辅因子,包括儿茶酚O-甲基转移酶(COMT)和DNA甲基转移酶(DNMT)。 虽然所有细胞中都存在,但在85%甲基化反应发生的肝脏中富集。 它还参与调控肝功能、生长和损伤反应。
S-(5′-腺苷)-L-甲硫氨酸(SAM)在正常肝细胞和正常结肠上皮细胞中抗凋亡,但在人肝细胞癌(HCC)HepG2细胞和结肠癌细胞中促凋亡。
