生化/生理作用

金精三羧酸易于在水溶液中聚合，形成稳定的自由基，抑制蛋白质-核酸相互作用。它通过阻止核酸与酶的结合而成为核糖核酸酶和拓扑异构酶 II 的有效抑制剂。它刺激酪氨酸磷酸化过程，包括 NB2 淋巴瘤细胞中的 Jak2/STAT5 途径，神经母细胞瘤细胞中的 ErbB4，以及 PC12 细胞中的 MAP 激酶、Shc 蛋白、磷脂酰肌醇 3-激酶和磷脂酶 C。金精三羧酸抑制许多细胞类型的细胞凋亡。其神经保护作用，可能是由于其能够阻止 Ca²⁺ 不可渗透的 GluR2 受体的下调或其抑制钙蛋白酶的能力，钙蛋白酶是一种在凋亡过程中被激活的 Ca²⁺ 激活的蛋白酶。
