一般描述

氯化钛参与了芳香醛与甲基乙烯基酮的 Baylis-Hillman 反应。pH 在 2.5 至 6.0 范围内的 TiCl4中性溶液(通过添加氧化镁作为碱制备)已被用于合成纳米二氧化钛。

应用

与硼氢化钠一起形成有效的试剂,用于还原:
  • 羧酸和酰氯转化为醇类
  • 酰胺、肟和内酰胺与胺
  • 亚砜转化为硫化物
通过改良的 Bouveault 反应活化吡咯烷,改善转化为相应的的 α,α-二甲胺。
钛 (IV) 氯化物 (TiCl4) 被用作 Ag-TiO2 @ 聚乙二醇 (PEG) 纳米颗粒的合成的前体。TiCl 4 也可用作合成 TiO2/Al2O3 二元氧化物材料 N-(10-氧代-乙烯基蒽-9-(10H)-亚基)氰酰胺的组分之一。
