phyproof® reference substances are valuable tools for quality control purposes of herbal raw materials, extracts, finished herbal medicinal products, dietary supplements or food products, for general scientific projects at universities or research organizations, or during screenings for new drug candidates in the pharmaceutical industry.Lithospermic acid (LSA) is isolated from the roots of Salvia mitiorrhiza, a herb used in traditional Chinese medicine. This plant-derived pharmaceutically active component is reported to exhibit various physiological effects.

应用

Lithospermic acid may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in hairy root cultures of Salvia miltiorrhiza, commercial herbal drugs, and Chinese traditional medicine by different chromatography techniques.
