o-Toluidine belongs to the class of monocyclic aromatic amines, which are of research and industrial importance. It can be used as a derivatization agent for the resolution of analytes by the formation of chromophores, which can be visualized by UV radiation or fluorescence.[1][2]

应用

o-Toluidine may be used as a TLC Visualization (Staining) Reagent for the detection of reducing sugars in protein hydrolysates by using high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) coupled with UV diffuse reflectance scanning densitometry.[1]
