2-Ethylpyridine, a nitrogen aromatic compound, is grouped under the class of azaarenes. It is generally found as a component of fuels and combustion products.[1][2]

应用

2-Ethylpyridine may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in mainstream cigarette smoke,[3] solvent refined coal (SRC) recycle oil,[1] and aromatic base mixture from coal gasification process[2] by various chromatography based techniques.
