一般描述
β-谷甾醇是一种在植物中含量丰富的植物甾醇。它具有抗炎、免疫调节、退热、抗肿瘤和血糖控制特性。 β-谷甾醇也可作为雌激素和雌激素受体（ERα 和Erβ）激动剂。
应用
该分析标准品可用于以下应用：
- 通过反相高效液相色谱（RP-HPLC）和光电二极管阵列检测器（PDA）鉴定和测定竹叶水醇提取物中的β-谷甾醇和豆甾醇
- 开发和确认两种用于定量测定塞内加尔吉耶尔木叶片的乙醇提取物中的四种生物标志物— β-谷甾醇、 β-香树脂醇、羽扇豆醇和熊果酸的高效薄层色谱（HPTLC）方法
- 对于属于21个不同大麻株系的82棵植株的不同植物部位进行次级代谢产物分析，以气相色谱-质谱（GC-MS）测定甾酮和类萜（单-、倍半-、三-）并以高效液相色（HPTLC）、紫外和质谱（MS）测定类黄酮
- 以硅胶预涂60 F254铝板通过高效薄层色谱（HPTLC）法定量测定由云南石梓根部制备的草药制剂中的-谷甾醇
- 通过气相色谱和离子阱质谱（GC-MS）测定食物基质中的游离甾酮或氧甾。
