一般描述
甲醇钠是一种钠醇盐。铜催化剂存在下，研究了不同反应条件下和非活性芳基溴化物反应。在DMF（二甲基甲酰胺）钯催化剂存在情况下，它能和卤代芳烃反应生成芳烃。
应用
甲醇钠可以用来制备5-（3-叠氮基丙基）尿苷。它还可以用来合成甲基2-氰基-lup-3-羟基-2-en-28-酯（CN-BA），是桦木酸（BA）的一种2-氰基衍生物。
甲醇钠可用作酯交换反应从植物油中获得脂肪酸甲酯（生物柴油）产物的碱催化剂。
