一般描述
2-甲基-2-丁醇是戊醇的异构形式。2-甲基-2-丁醇的各种物理性质(静电介电常数、粘度、密度、超声波和介电弛豫)已经在很宽的温度范围内进行了评估。其作为溶剂,从水溶液中萃取糠醛的能力已经得到了测试。在不存在溶剂的情况下,由市售钯基催化剂催化的MBY与氢的三相反应的动力学参数也已有描述。
应用
2-甲基-2-丁醇(叔-戊醇, t-AmylOH,MBY)已被用作溶解阿佛丁[2,2,2-三溴乙醇]的溶剂, 阿佛丁可在免疫组织化学研究中用作麻醉剂。它已被用于制备(E)-2-(2-(3-乙氧基-3-氧代丙-1-烯基)-6-氟苯基)乙酸。
