General description
木瓜蛋白酶是一种半胱氨酸蛋白酶,属于木瓜蛋白酶家族。它是单链蛋白质。木瓜蛋白酶分子量为23 kDa。木瓜蛋白酶由两个结构域和两个结构域之间的裂隙组成,这些裂隙包含活性位点。
Application
木瓜蛋白酶可用于蛋白质的完全蛋白水解切割、天然免疫球蛋白的有限水解以及组织解离(与胶原酶、酯酶和胰蛋白酶一起使用)。该酶可溶解内在膜蛋白并水解纯蛋白多糖生成糖肽。添加半胱氨酸(约0.5% [w/v])对酶活性至关重要。
木瓜蛋白酶已用于消化各种脑细胞。
Biochem/physiol Actions
木瓜蛋白酶对酰胺链、氨基酸酯、多肽、蛋白质具有水解活性。它主要用于切割在苯丙氨酸之后含有赖氨酸、精氨酸和残基等氨基酸的肽键。可以催化多种反应,例如水解、转移酶作用、特异性和酰基酶中间体等。
