General description
c-Myc（bHLHe39）是一种转录因子，可调节参与细胞凋亡、细胞分化和细胞增殖的多个基因的表达。活性c-Myc通过c-Myc’s C末端螺旋-环-螺旋亮氨酸拉链（bHLHLZ）域与MAX蛋白偶联。c-Myc-MAX异二聚体还与许多其他转录相关蛋白相互作用，包括TRRAP、p107和Miz-1，并且c-Myc-MAX可能间接调节参与染色质重塑的组蛋白乙酰化酶，以增加转录复合物对靶标的可及性DNA序列。c-Myc的表达受生长因子的控制。一些研究已经报道了c-Myc在包括伯基茨’淋巴瘤在内的各种癌症中的异常表达。
