Application
A selective medium for the isolation and enumeration of coagulase-positive staphylococci primarily from foodstuffs.
Preparation Note
Suspend 63g in 1 litre demineralised water. Boil whilst stirring until completely dissolved. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool to 45 - 50°C and aseptically add 1% of 1% sterile Potassium Tellurite Solution (HG00BX15.PK) and 5% sterile Egg Yolk Emulsion (HG00BX14.100). Homogenate and pour plates.
