Biochem/physiol Actions
该抗体识别补体C3α链上的表位（蛋白质印迹法）。该抗体抑制C3a的过敏性功能：C3a在体外诱导血小板释放血清素的能力受到抑制；类似地，C3a与抗体的治疗在体内抑制C3a诱导的皮肤反应。该抗体与C3b片段的抗体结合，是区分普遍存在或非特异性结合的天然C3与生物活性C3片段的极佳对照。未激活的C3仍具有C3a决定簇，而激活的C3（C3b，C3d）为C3a阴性。 因此，它可用于免疫病理学测定（活检中C3沉积的证明）和C3a测定。
