RNA脱甲基酶ALKBH5也称为烷基化DNA修复蛋白alkB同源物5和α-酮戊二酸依赖性双加氧酶alkB同源物5。ALKBH5是一种双加氧酶,可使RNA脱甲基,特别是N(6)-甲基腺苷(m6A)RNA,这会影响mRNA的加工和输出,是精子发生所必需的。ALKBH5在肺,睾丸,胰腺,脾脏和卵巢中表达最高,但在其他组织中广泛表达。
