General description

KLF15,也称为Krueppel样因子15,富含肾脏的Krueppel样因子,由基因KLF15/KKLF编码,是一种转录调节因子,可影响多种发育和细胞系统中的表达。这些包括神经胶质细胞分化,心脏昼夜节律表达调节,足细胞分化,肾小球脏层上皮细胞分化,葡萄糖转运和肽基赖氨酸乙酰化的负调节。KLF15在肝脏、骨骼肌、心肌细胞和肾细胞中高表达。KLF15是非缺血性心肌病、肾小球疾病和主动脉瘤患者的生物标志物。在此类患者中,KLF15表达严重下调。KLF15缺乏会影响心律,并可能在室性心律失常和心脏病理状况中起作用。
