General description

mCherry,红色荧光蛋白,源自DsRed,DsRed是一种来自香菇珊瑚盘状珊瑚的红色荧光蛋白。DsRed的大小和其他特性与GFP相似,但它产生红色而不是绿色荧光。mCherry是一种单体形式,已通过突变,定向修饰和进化选择的多个循环进行了设计。它在587 nm处显示最大激发波长,在610 nm处显示最大发射波长,荧光量子产率为0.22。 mCherry显示高的光稳定性和抗光漂白性。它还显示出改善的亮度和极快的成熟率。抗mCherry多克隆抗体是一种亲和纯化的抗体,可识别用pFin-EF1-mCherry转染的HEK293细胞中的mCherry。(参考文献:Schaner, NC et al.
