细胞粘附受体的整联蛋白家族由至少16种膜相关的异二聚体组成，由以非共价方式缔合的α和β亚基组成。整联蛋白家族的结构和功能多样性基于各个α和β亚基的配对能力。整联蛋白受体与其各自配体之间这些分子相互作用的关键是对Arg-Gly-Asp（RGD）序列的识别，已知该序列存在于细胞外基质成分包括纤连蛋白、玻连蛋白、胶原蛋白、纤维蛋白原和血管性假血友病因子中（Cheresh，1991）。整联蛋白在血管增殖、粘附和伤口修复中的作用已被充分证明。
