小鼠多能聚糖GAG β域。
General description
多能聚糖是一种大的多结构域硫酸软骨素蛋白聚糖，由成纤维细胞和其他类型的细胞分泌。它具有N端透明质酸（HA）结合域。该结构域与聚集蛋白聚糖的G1和G2结构域（G1是透明质酸结合区）与软骨连接蛋白具有同源性，软骨连接蛋白可稳定聚集蛋白聚糖与透明质酸以及透明质酸盐受体CD44的结合。此外，多能聚糖还具有凝集素样结构域，C端互补重复序列和两个EGF样重复序列，其全部可以在聚集蛋白聚糖中找到。多能聚糖具有约1000 kDa的表观分子量，其中核心从2409个氨基酸贡献400 kDa，其余12-15个共价连接的硫酸软骨素链组成。
