VEGF₁₆₅, Human, Recombinant, S. frugiperda

Recombinant, human VEGF₁₆₅ (165 amino acid splice variant of VEGF) expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. A heparin-binding glycoprotein with potent angiogenic, endothelial cell-specific mitogenic, and vascular permeability-enhancing activities. Increases endothelial cell proliferation after vascular injury. Supplied as a glycosylated, disulfide-linked homodimer.

ED₅₀ = 2.0-6.0 ng/ml as measured by its ability to stimulate ³H-thymidine incorporation into human umbilical vein endothelial cells

Lyophilized from sterile-filtered 30% acetonitrile, 0.1% TFA, 50 µg BSA/µg VEGF.

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-70°C). Avoid freeze/thaw cycles of solutions. Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -70°C.

Reconstitute to a final concentration of ≥1 µg/ml with sterile PBS containing ≥0.1% HSA or BSA.
