General description
Immunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~65 kDa α- and β-isoforms of the A(PR65) regulatory subunit of PP2A.
Immunogen
Mammalian
a synthetic peptide (DDSLYPIAVLIDE) corresponding to amino acids 7-19 of the mammalian PP2A/A regulatory subunit, conjugated to KLH
Other Notes
Cross-reacts with PR65 from most mammalian species, including human, rat, and mouse. Exhibits minor cross-reactivity with tubulin in whole brain homogenates. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
Physical form
In 10 mM Tris-HCl, 3 mM glycine, pH 7.5.
Preparation Note
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-70°C).

Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) is a serine/threonine-selective holoenzyme composed of a catalytic, scaffolding, and regulatory subunit. In the heart, PP2A activity is requisite for cardiac excitation-contraction coupling and central in adrenergic signaling. We found that mice deficient in the PP2A

Kinase/phosphatase balance governs cardiac excitability in health and disease. Although detailed mechanisms for cardiac kinase regulation are established, far less is known regarding cardiac protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) regulation. This is largely due to the complexity of the PP2A holoenzyme
