For instance, the acid is used in microwave-assisted decomposition of foods like rice, carrots, and chayote, facilitating the determination of elements such as aluminum, cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, and lead. This application is vital for ensuring food safety and compliance with health standards (Serafim et al., Brazilian Journal of Analytical Chemistry, 2024).
