一般描述
当G蛋白偶联受体（GPCR）结合细胞表面上的各种配体时，环磷酸腺苷或cAMP是腺苷环化酶ATP的细胞内副产物。环AMP充当跨细胞膜的信号转导的第二信使，并且是激酶激活的一部分。它调节胰高血糖素和肾上腺素的作用以及钙离子通过离子通道的运动。由于它直接受GPCR激活的影响，因此在发现治疗药物时将cAMP作为监测GPCR的一种手段进行研究。
特异性
对cAMP具有特异性，在浓度至1 mM时与其他核苷酸无交叉反应。与固定在组织中的cAMP或乙酰化的cAMP反应。在RIA或EIA分析中，与游离的非乙酰化cAMP不反应。
