It also acts as a precursor of diacylglycerol and lysophosphatidic acid. 08:0 PA/C8-PA has the ability to affect the phosphorylation of mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) and the viability of gallbladder carcinoma cells, that are treated with histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACIs).
