General description

DURAN®Original GL/plastic-coated laboratory bottles are made of clear, high-purity glass and are coated with a clear layer of polyurethane plastic (PU) to lower the risk of shattered glass and liquid splashes during breakage. A mix of high-performance materials and robust ISO 4796-1 design offers a long working life. The bottles have a permanent white enamel marking field and an easy-to-read graduated volume scale to estimate the content. For manufacturing lot traceability, each bottle has a permanent retrace code. The protection safety complies with ASTM E1522. This bottle is fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C.
Transparent plastic skin protects bottles from mechanical damage and leakage in case of breakage. Autoclavable to 135°C, but do not use water for cooling in autoclave.

Features and Benefits

  • Made from borosilicate glass 3.3 DURAN®
  • According to USP <660>, EP (3.2.1), and JP <7.01>, DURAN® is a neutral glass that is categorized as a Glass Type I and complies with ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements.
  • The external polymer coating offers protection against scratches, leaks, and splinters (only for bottles containing 2000 ml or less).
  • UV protection up to approximately 380 nm due to external coating
  • High resistance and long-lasting coating
  • Standardized GL-thread and matching cap system; for mainly tight sealing and simple, clean pouring out
  • Fully equipped with a screw cap (PP), integral lip seal, and pouring ring (PP), allowing for drip-free pouring and clean, safe working.
  • Sizes 10 and 25 ml with specially shaped glass edges for improved pouring out, preventing the need for an additional plastic pouring ring
  • Fired-on, highly durable white ceramic print
