应用
苯硫酚可以在催化量的辛可宁存在下发生：
- 不对称迈克尔加成到马来酸二异丙酯上形成（s）-（& # 8722；）-苯基硫代琥珀酸二异丙酯，它可进一步转化为（R）-（+）-3，4-环氧-1-丁醇。
- 区域选择性和立体选择性1，4-加成到亚烯基环丙烷上，形成内型-或顺式-乙烯基硫化物加合物，这是合成卡拉哈烯酮的关键步骤。
- 非对映选择性加成到 （S）-N-（& # 945；，& # 946；-不饱和羰基）-& # 947；-[（三苯甲基氧基）甲基]-& # 947；-丁内酯形成相应的& # 946；-（苯硫基）羧酸盐。
