3,3'-Iminodipropionitrile (IDPN), a neurotoxicant that causes an excitatory CNS syndrome and a proximal axonopathy, is metabolized to beta-aminopropionitrile (BAPN), cyanoacetic acid (CAA), and beta-alanine (beta-ala) in rats.
