应用
4-叔-正丁基环己醇（顺式和反式混合物）可作为反应物，用于合成三（4,4′-二-叔-丁基-2,2′- 联吡啶）（反式-4-叔-丁基环己醇）十-μ-氧化-七氧化七氧化钒簇合物，通过与[V8O20(C18H24N2)4]反应。还可以沸石BEA作为立体选择性催化剂，用作竞争对手Oppenauer氧化实验的反应物。仅将顺式-异构体选择性转化为对应的酮，而顺式-异构体保持不变。
