氧化石墨烯粉末由于热不稳定性，不适合大量处理。而氧化石墨烯浆料则能更安全地大量储存和运输。氧化石墨烯浆料可用于制备目标浓度的氧化石墨烯溶液或氧化石墨烯纸或片。为了获得单层氧化石墨烯，需要进行超声处理。不随重力沉降的浓缩水性分散液的配制方法：加入25 mL水/1 g浆料，过夜搅拌16 h，在温和的超声波浴中超声处理30分钟。3500 rpm离心10分钟（转子有效直径23 cm）去除所有大的未剥离颗粒，弃上清，获得∼2 mg/mL氧化石墨烯水溶液。进一步稀释和超声此浓缩液，可获得单层氧化石墨烯。
