异氰酸己酯的抗原性已在半抗原特异性呼吸道超敏反应的豚鼠动物模型中进行了研究。 以稀土三(2,6-二--丁基-4-甲基苯酚酯)[Ln(OAr)3]为引发剂,异氰酸己酯的聚合反应已有研究。

应用

异氰酸己酯可用于以下合成:
  • 刚性杆状、螺旋异氰酸酯基大分子单体
  • 利用活性阴离子聚合制备具有2-乙烯基吡啶的棒-卷-棒三嵌段共聚物
  • 通过活性阴离子聚合制备手性聚(n-己基异氰酸酯)(PHIC)大分子单体
