一般描述
三碘化硼是一种强路易斯酸。可通过碘(I2)和溶于庚烷的硼氢化钾(KBH4)的反应而制备。
应用
三碘化硼可作为试剂，切断醚、酯和醇中的C-O键。也可用于切断硅烷和卤化物。三碘化硼可将醇转化为烷基碘化物，磺酰和亚磺酰转化为二硫化物。使用此试剂可实现三芳香胺的硼化。
它也可用于制备咪唑基亚胺二卤化铝金属络合物和硼碳氮化合物(BCN)纳米线。
