General description

2,3,5-三苯基氯化四氮唑（TTC）是一种广泛用于固体培养基中微生物菌落计数的染料。这种染料在氧化形式下是无色的，当被微生物还原时，由于形成了甲臜，因此变为红色。活的微生物，例如大肠杆菌和其他大肠菌群，通过酶促作用减少TTC，形成红色的甲臜，保留在细胞的颗粒内部。强烈建议在检测巴氏杀菌奶时使用TTC，因为在巴氏杀菌奶中有很大比例的微生物无法减少 TTC，而这些微生物无法通过实验室程序检测到。较高浓度的 TTC 可对革兰氏阳性菌的生长起抑制作用。
