What is the metal enhancer in Product D0426, SIGMAFAST™ DAB with Metal Enhancer, and what is the purpose of it?
The metal enhancer is cobalt chloride (CoCl2). Cobalt chloride produces a more intense stain which enhances the sensitivity of the assay and allows for visualization of the staining when a standard DAB chromogen would fail to demonstrate the staining.
