Gene Information

human ... ADORA2A(135)

General description

Anti-ADORA2A Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ADORA2A protein.
Adenosine A2a receptor (ADORA2A) is a G protein-coupled receptor. It is highly expressed in the brain. It is located on human chromosome 22q11.23.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human ADORA2A.

Immunogen Range: 321-370

Biochem/physiol Actions

Activation of the adenosine A2a receptor (ADORA2A) prevents T-cell proliferation and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. It functions in increasing cytosolic cAMP levels. The protein has been associated with stimulation of liver ischemic preconditioning. ADORA2A is also linked to dermal fibrosis and scleroderma.
