Gene Information
human ... CLDN1(9076)
General description
Claudin 1 (CLDN1) is a component of tight junctions. It is part of the transmembrane tight junction protein family. The CLDN1 gene is localized on human chromosome 3q28.
Immunogen
CLDN1 antibody was raised against a 20 amino acid peptide near the carboxyl terminus of human CLDN1.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Claudin 1 (CLDN1) has a role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition. It is a sealing and tightening junctional protein. CLDN1 has been shown to be downregulated in lung adenocarcinoma. Mutations in this gene have also been linked to neonatal ichthyosis and sclerosing cholangitis.
Features and Benefits
Evaluate our antibodies with complete peace of mind. If the antibody does not perform in your application, we will issue a full credit or replacement antibody. Learn more.
