Gene Information
human ... LAMP1(3916)
General description
Lysosomal-associated membrane protein 1 (LAMP-1) is a type I transmembrane protein with a short cytoplasmic tail containing a lysosome-targeting signal. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 13q34.
Immunogen
LAMP-1 antibody was raised against a 15 amino acid peptide from near the center of human LAMP-1.
Application
Anti-LAMP-1 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in Western blotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Lysosomal-associated membrane protein 1 (LAMP-1) functions as an intracellular receptor. It is found to be expressed in the cytoplasm of several types of tumor cells and may be involved in tumor invasion. LAMP-1 is essential for perforin trafficking to the lytic granules and motility of these lytic granules. Knockdown of this protein leads to inhibition of cytotoxicity of human natural killer cells.
Features and Benefits
Evaluate our antibodies with complete peace of mind. If the antibody does not perform in your application, we will issue a full credit or replacement antibody. Learn more.

Supplied in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide.
Other Notes
The action of this antibody can be blocked using blocking peptide SBP3500285.

Cancer cell multidrug resistance induced by paclitaxel contributes to the high failure rates of chemotherapy and relapse of the disease. Several mechanisms have been described that underlie the observed resistance, including the overexpression of ABCB1 (P-glycoprotein), which represents an ATP-binding
