General description

High purity grade silica gel offers the lowest moisture content, tightest particle size distribution, minimal impurities and greatest lot-to-lot consistency which results in greater reproducibility of the separation process. It is useful for all types of low pressure, medium pressure, and flash column chromatography. It can be applied to the clean-up and purification of a wide range of synthetic and natural compounds. A spherical particle shape results in more homogenous packing characteristics, providing sharper peak adsorption and elution curve.

  1. Which document(s) contains shelf-life or expiration date information for a given product?

If available for a given product, the recommended re-test date or the expiration date can be found on the Certificate of Analysis.

  2. How do I get lot-specific information or a Certificate of Analysis?

The lot specific COA document can be found by entering the lot number above under the "Documents" section.

  3. What is the particle size of Product 97727-U, Flash C18 Silica?

The VersaFlash C18 spherical silica, 97727-U, has a particle size of 45-75 microns, and a pore size of 70 Angstroms.

  4. Why should I choose to use Supelco's Product 97727-U, Flash C18 Silica?

The VersaFlash C18 is a spherical silica, rather than an irregular silica.  Spherical silica leads to higher sample loading capacity and better separation efficiency. Columns packed with VersaFlash C18 silica give a sharper end curve during elution, utilizing less solvent.

  5. Can I get pre-packed columns of Flash C18 silica, Product 97727-U?

Supelco packs VersaFlash C18 Spherical Silica into VersaPak cartridges that are compatible with a number of Flash Purification Systems.

Inflammation is pivotal for the development of gastrointestinal cancer and linked to poor survival and limited therapeutic options. In this study, six structurally different carotenoids were isolated and identified from the methanolic extract of Exiguobacterium acetylicum S01 namely lycopene (Car-I)
