General description

TrypZean® eliminates the introduction of animal source contaminants found in traditional bovine and porcine trypsins.

Application

Eliminates the introduction of animal source contaminants found in traditional bovine and porcine trypsins.
TrypZean® has been used in a study to assess the use of animal protein-free products for passaging adherent human adipose-derived stromal/stem cells. [1] TrypZean® has also been used in a study to compare a recombinant trypsin with the porcine pancreatic extract on sperm used for the in vitro production of bovine embryos. [2]

Biochem/physiol Actions

For dissociation of cultured cells.

Preparation Note

Manufactured by Applied Biotechnology Institute utilizing proprietary transgenic plant protein expression system.
