General description

REDExtract-N-Amp PCR ReadyMix for Blood is a PCR master mix containing buffer, salts, dNTPs, and Taq polymerase. This 2x reaction mixture also contains JumpStart Taq antibody for specific hot start amplification and REDTaq® dye, an inert tracking dye to enable direct loading of PCR products onto an agarose gel for analysis. PCR ReadyMix is intended for use with Sigma′s Extract-N-Amp Blood PCR Kits. All Extract-N-Amp Kit include a volume of PCR ReadyMix sufficient for at least one PCR reaction per extraction. However, where additional amplifications are required, supplemental PCR ReadyMix may be needed.

Application

REDExtract-N-Amp PCR ReadyMix for Blood has been used for polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

Features and Benefits

  • Additional loading dye is not required as the PCR reaction mix contains REDTaq® dye for direct and convenient loading onto an agarose gel for analysis
  • Hotstart feature allows for room temperature set-up without premature Taq DNA polymerase activity
  • Ready-mix enables time-saving procedures
  • Reduced risk of contamination from multiple pipet steps and increased reproducibility
