    Human MMP-9 consists of a 688 amino acid residue recombinant protein which has a predicted molecular mass of approximately 77 kDa. By SDS-PAGE the apparent molecular mass is approximately 93 kDa.

  6. Does product M8945 (Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 Human) need to be activated?

    To activate recombinant human MMP-9, prepare a p-aminophenylmercuric acetate (APMA) solution in DMSO. Add the AMPA solution to the MMP-9 to a final APMA concentration of 1 mM. Incubate at 37°C. for 16 - 24 hours.

    This product contains < 1.0 EU/ug of the enzyme.
