Gene Information

human ... PSMD4(5710)

General description

PSDM4 is the non-ATPase subunit of the proteasomal 19S regulatory complex that is involved in proteasome-substrate identification. Porcine fertilization studies have reported that PSMD4 regulates sperm-zona pellucida (ZP) penetration. Furthermore, pharmacogenomic analyses have revealed that high expression of PSDM4 is linked to adverse clinical outcomes in myeloma patients undergoing bortezomib treatment.
Rabbit Anti-PSMD4 (AB1) antibody recognizes canine, human, mouse, rat, pig, bovine, chicken, and rabbit PSMD4.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human PSMD4

Application

Rabbit Anti-PSMD4 (AB2) antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 0.3μg/ml.

Biochem/physiol Actions

PSMD4 encodes one of the non-ATPase subunits of the 19S regulator lid which is part of a multicatalytic proteinase complex of the 26S proteasome.

Sequence

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: VAHLALKHRQGKNHKMRIIAFVGSPVEDNEKDLVKLAKRLKKEKVNVDII

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
