Isn't the hydrochloride salt form of DAPI a more sensitive detector of DNA than Product D9564, DAPI, dilactate (DAPI-DNA)?
The dilactate salt has as much sensitivity in detection as the dihydrochloride salt, which we also offer as Product No. D9542.
Can Product D9564, DAPI dilactate (DAPI-DNA), be used as a vital stain?
As we note in the Product Information Sheet for the Dihydrochloride salt of DAPI, Product No. D9542, DAPI can be used as a vital dye to stain mature pollen grains, but we have tested it as a vital stain in other cell types.
