Preparation Note

Suspend 40.5 g of Brewer Thioglycollate Medium in 1000 ml of distilled water. Boil to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in tubes or in suitable containers as desired and sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs. pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes.Note: If more than the upper one third of medium has acquired a green color, the medium may be restored once by heating on a water bath or free flowing steam until the green color disappears.
